The modern type paints on old buildings is a recipe for disaster – all very good to sell the house but later on once coating fails & water gets behind, it has no means of escape outwards so progresses down the walls & towards the inside.

By removing modern paints & letting your walls “Breathe” added to a repoint in lime and your’re well on the way to preserving the integrity of your home for another couple of hundred years. And as they say if your going to do a job do it properly.

The company damaged my piece of furniture, accepted responsibility then said the reason for the damage was that the item was poorly made (Ercol). They have done nothing about it. Poor customer service.Your comments below are laughable. You make out you're interested and sorry but that is purely for potential customers to see online. We have discussed the matter and you have made every excuse possible.

Amazing from start to finish! From initial contact with Bob, the Alberny team have been efficient, professional and truly are experts in their field. We had some beams (that were previously painted black!) restored to their natural beauty and the results are incredible. The team took great care and our house was kept clean with next to no mess. We cannot recommend Bob and the Alberny team enough - 5 stars all round!

Used this company for mobile sand blasting of a large piece of machinery at work - very impressed with the service from start to finish. Bob was quick at getting back to me with my query and a quote for the works, which was very reasonable, and the team that came to carry out the work were very quick, and cleaned up so well that you couldn't tell they had been there. The work done on our listed building was carried out with real care and attention. It's obviously a big concern to let people work on your own home especially when it involves a process which inevitably is going to create quite a lot of mess. The end result though was worth the effort and the fact that they finished a few days earlier than first thought was much appreciated! All the crew members were polite and very efficient and Olie was great in keeping us informed about what was happening.

Grade 2 listed property with original oak floorboards and stair case which had been unsympathetically coated on modern dark varnish. The boys from Alberny were fantastic. Very knowledgeable, helpful and even did a great job cleaning up afterwards too. Would definitely recommend.

Had a nice informative chat with there representative and was suggested not to wast money having the hole house blasted as the damp was only showing up to about 4ft. So saving us money and the came on time each day did a good job and for what I considered a good price. Would recommend there services to anyone looking for this kind of work.

I had very old and scruffy paintwork covering some lovely Bath stonework on a recently purchased investment property in Corsham and asked Alberny Restorations Ltd to sandblast this off.The end result looks great and has brought new life to the house!The work done was a lot harder than expected as the paint refused to come off easily in parts but Alberny stuck to the task in hand, put an extra guy onto the job and worked a day over the expected 3 days quoted and basically went the extra mile for us.We would highly recommend this company and will definitely be coming back for any future projects needing this sort of work to be carried out....Well done Alberny Restorations Ltd!!

I was very impressed with the service provided by Alberny Restorations. I particularly liked the option to try out the various methods available for stripping finishes from walls at a reasonable price, without any further financial obligation. In the event I chose to use the “Doff” method on my property which was gentler on surfaces. I was very pleased with the result. Lewis and his colleagues worked very quickly and effectively. He was very responsive to our proposals and was able to offer sound advice on how best to proceed. He also tidied up after each day’s work and left the site as he found it. All in all, an experience which could have been quite daunting, was handled in a very professional manner by Alberny, who I would certainly recommend to anybody seeking similar services.

We had a 30 yr old garden furniture set which needed sandblasting as it was in such a sorry state. Alberny was able to do this for us and recommend, plus deliver to a local powder coating company. Job done in 3 working days. The advice and help given was second to none and all achieved so quickly. We were amazed at the service and the finished product as you can see from before and after photos. It now looks better than new and all at such a reasonable price.

From my first contact the Team were very professional and polite and explained clearly what they were doing. Their quote arrived within 12 hours and I was booked for the following week. The 2 man team turned up promptly as advised and quickly explained the process and the 2 day plan to completion. The work started quickly and having removed 200 years of grime the finished results were amazing and transformed our property. Recently tasked Alberny Restorations to return a heavily painted oak timber beam to it's natural, unfinished state in a Grade II listed cottage restoration. It was of vital importance that the work conducted did not damage, degrade or alter the original timber of the cottage in any way, and have they delivered! The beam was soda blasted, which fulfilled the brief beautifully as the timber is now back to it's natural state and showcasing all of its original rustic charm and character (not a flake of paint to be seen, which is quite remarkable considering how gnarled several aspects of the beam are with shakes, knots, woodworm damage and the like). The team was punctual, friendly and informative, hard working and efficient (all wrapped up, cleaned and tidied within about two hours of commencing) and competitively priced. Have absolutely no hesitation recommending Alberny Restoration. A+++++. Thank you guys!
